Picket Fences and Hound Dogs.

Alice in Wonderland in the park. Can't recommend seeing an outdoor play directly in the flightpath of a major airport. During the first 20 minutes of the one hour show, we needed a sign language interpreter, or a lip reader. At least the grass was soft. I slept on my side, and the kids used me for a couch, sitting on my ribs. The kids loved it, at least Madeleine did. Abby mostly enjoyed talking. Tonight we had a barbeque with the Edmundsons. Its weird to have couple friends who live so close. Its weird living this adult life, with kids, dogs, spouses, bills, couple friends, et cetera. When do you wake up and realize its all for real, you really are all grown up? I would have thought screaming babies, changing diapers, finding school, juggling marriage and work, all that stuff would make me feel grown up. Instead, often it feels like a big illusion, like a childhood game that we forgot to stop.
